Trinidad & Tobago

Wyatt in Trinidad
A Daily Photo Essay of My Journey

The second day in Trinidad, we drove to the far eastern side of the island then swung around a mountain range to the north. We stayed in a beach hotel in Grande Riviere. We spent time reading, walking the beach, and relaxing. Unfortunately we missed the leather-back turtle nesting season by two weeks. The good news was that there were very few guests at the hotel. Looking out over the ocean, it was easy to imagine a time when Spanish Explorer ships passed this cove.

*Trinidad is the Southern of two islands that make up the country of Trinidad and Tobago.  It is a one hour flight from Caracas and sits just off the coast of Venezuela.  There are over 1 million residents on the island.
