Wyatt in Henry Pittier
A Daily Photo Essay of My Journey

On our journey, we stayed on the top floor of the Rancho Grande Biological Research Station in the Henry Pittier National Park (Yes... that's it in the background).  It has large decks and is backed directly against the rain-forest allowing opportunity to view a variety of creatures.   My favorite part of the two days was during our night-hike. Our guides started by taking us into a dark and unused downstairs room.  They then turned on their flashlights.  Circling above our heads were 50 or so bats.  It was an awesome sight.  One bat even swooped so close to my head that I could feel air movement.
