For Christmas, my mom and brother got me a SPOT. It is a GPS based hiking tool which will allow me to "check-in" with my wife and loved ones, via the internet, when I am out exploring nature. I am still learning how to use it but soon my hiking positions will be available for viewing on a special website. It is a fun little tool and if it puts Dana's mind to rest when I am away then it is very worthwhile.
