My friend Chad enticed me into submitting a proposal to donorschoose.org, a website that puts classroom needs together with prospective donors. I couldn't submit my first idea, a class-set of raincoats/boots for field trips, but will be able to submit that when I become an "experienced" member. However, this proposal is something I need and my students can greatly benefit from. Take a few moments to read it if you have time.
