Last week I was walking along a highway and saw this porcupine skull. A few feet away was the rest of his decomposed body. All that remained was his skeleton and quills. He must have been hit by a car last summer because the quills were quite brittle. However, most of his skeleton was still there and it was fun to identify his parts.
