A flood of memories can in as my co-worker Mr. C played his mandolin for my students. My kids have become obsessed with a song called "The Fox" by the group Nicklecreek but none of them had seen nor heard a mandolin.
The memories were of when I was a kid and my folks would gather with friends for evenings of strummin' and singin'. My dad played the mandolin and it was from him that I learned to enjoy this instrument's sweet sound.
