Up at the top of one of my favorite trails is the Salmon Creek Dam. I can't remember the whole history of it but I know it was the first convex dam ever built and it was designed by a 24 year old back in the early part of the 1900s. Someone asked me how they got all that concrete up there in the middle of a forest without road and before helicopters.
