The city is doing a big road project on our main highway. I am pretty sure that it is going to end up being Juneau's first overpass roadway (with real exit ramps). I am especially impressed with the giant culvert they have been working on this past week. You could easily drive a semi through it without scraping the top. Right now the speed limit has been dropped to 45 mph in, what locals are starting to just refer to as, "the slow zone." Double fines are being passed out in that area. A cop friend of mine told me that they have given out at least two $600 speeding tickets. Ouch!
