Have I ever mentioned that Juneau only has two malls (to speak of)... and there is some debate whether they are true malls. The older of the two is the Nugget Mall. It has about 20 stores and 4 restaurants. The buzz around town this week is that Juneau's first dollar store has opened in a building located in the parking lot of the Nugget. Needless to say, there are not too many mall-rats in Juneau. That is one of the many joys of living in small-town America.
