The winter went long and some of the lakes still have ice on them but the airport float-plane pond is open and ready for business. A week ago, cruise ships started bringing people in hordes to Juneau. One option for the visitors is to fly out to cabins, rivers, lodges and other locations only accessible by float-plane.
