Last night on a walk, we noticed the high school girls playing soccer. What struck us most, and prompted the photography, was the presence of snow along the borders of the field. This is May, after all. Due to the heavy snowfall, the soccer teams and track team had to get their shovels out a few weeks ago to manually clear the field in order for the season to start. I bet that doesn't happen in California.
