Dana and I recieved our first wedding present..... 12 years ago. I befriended some elderly sisters in my parent's church when I was in high school and would often visit them when I was in their area. Neva and Carol Strode were always making quilts for new babies and newly-weds and they promised they would make one for me too someday when I married. When I graduated from college in 1995, they called me to their house and said they could not wait any longer for me to marry so they presented me with this quilt. Neva died a few years ago and I am not sure where Carol went off to, but Dana and I both thank them for this generous gift.
