It is commonly said that eagles have majestic appeal. It is also true that they have a hypnotic quality. One can quickly deplete their film supply when encountering them. This main photo was taken in Unalaska, in the Aleutian Islands, where the tallest tree is less than ten feet and a little improvisation is in order. It is also one of my favorite photos.
