Bucharest, Romania

August 11, 2007

Much of Romania is green, lush, and beautiful. Bucharest, on the other hand, is a big concrete city. During communism, most of the classic victorian homes were destroyed in order to build large, unsightly apartment buildings. The nice thing is that over the past few years, modern architecture is finding its way into the city and slowly a new look is emerging. The last photo in this series is of a building that is being destroyed so something new can be built.
