Juneau, Alaska

Juneau is not on an island but it might as well be. When not riding the ferry boats, we depend on Alaska Airline (the only commercial airliner in and out of Juneau) to take us to the "real world". They are a quality airline and generally get good ratings. The biggest problem is that they know they have us over a barrel when it comes to pricing and so we sometimes end up footing the bill for lower-fared routes down south. That might be the literal price we pay for living in such an amazing place.
